Samsung released the Samsung Wave in April 2010, it's one of the best selling mobile phones around at the moment with some great things going for it. An aspect that stands out to us is the Bada operating system, the Wave is the first mobile phone to contain this fantastic operating system giving the user immediate access to there favourite social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. The S8500 Wave also comes with an impressive 3.3 inch AMOLED super capacitive touch screen display with 16 million colours and 480 x 800 pixel resolutions. This mobile phone certainly stands out from the crowd and would so so many peoples needs.
The entertainment aspect of the Samsung Wave is pretty impressive to with a 5 mega-pixel camera with great features like face detection, smile detection, flash, autofocus, geo tagging and photo editor. You can also film some great videos using the video recorder with video light for filming in the dark and you can playback your videos in MPEG4, DivX, H263, H264 & Xvid formats. Samsung have also added an additional camera for video calling. If you are a fan of music then you will be happy with the music player on the Samsung Wave as it supports MP3, WMA and eAAC+ formats, along with an FM radio with RDS for listening to all your favourite radio dj's while on the move.
If it's an internet based phone you are looking for then the Samsung Wave has everything you need with HTML and WAP 2.0 XHTML web browsers. The connectivity is great with WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G HSDPA and USB connectivity the added bonus of EDGE and GPRS technology to make a speedy internet connection. The Wave S8500 network coverage is great with quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 900/2100 allowing you to get great coverage wherever you are in the world.
There are many other fantastic features to this Samsung mobile phone including a scratch resistant display with auto rotate, TouchWiz user interface, Google Maps and A GPS navigation. Overall we think the Wave is a fantastic smartphone with loads going for it, we would recommend this great mobile phone to anyone looking for a bit of everything but all great quality.
